Learning English Step by Step: Beginning of a course

First of all, I would like to thank everyone for liking this blog! I am overwhelmed to see the number of likes and page views increasing day by day… Thanks a lot.
Now, before I start writing on this topic, I would like to define the target audience of this blog. During my training years, there were some sentences which I heard over and over again:
·       “Ma’am, English samajh to lete hai par bolni nahi aati”
·       “Ma’am, English bol to leta hu but hesitation hoti hai”
·       “Ma’am, English aati to hai but confident nahi hu isliye suru se suru karke English sikhna chahata hu”
·       Ma’am, English aati hai but thoda aur polish karna chahata hu” etc. etc.

If you have also said one of these sentences sometime in your life, then, this blog is for you
Chalo phir suru se suru karte hai J
My further posts would be based on the modules I prepared during my training years. So, if you promise to stay with me throughout my posts, I promise that you would be able to observe improvement in your language skills day by day. All you have to do is to follow the guidelines step by step and follow the suggestions. Also, feel free to ask me questions by posting them as comment on this post and I would try to help you in every way possible. That’s my promise!
Now, Let’s start :
Step 1: Grab a list of basic vocabulary: a few basic words from each part of speech. You would need to take help of a grammar book and prepare the list based on your level. e.g.

Nouns: Names of things that you can see around you but do not know what they are called in English such as names of things in your kitchen, washroom, drawing room, names of various relations, professions, diseases etc. (In case you are not able to find their English name, post your question, I would try to help you out )

Pronoun : Understand the use of all the pronouns (Would explain the ‘Use of pronouns’ in another blogpost). There are basically four categories of pronouns, you do not need to know their names, all you need to know is the use of pronouns
Similarly, basic vocabulary of various verbs, preposition, conjunctions, determiners, Adjectives, Adverbs and so on

You do not have to learn these topics in detail at this stage; all you need to do is to find the examples of these parts of speech and understand their meaning.  For instance, you should know the meaning of various adverbs such as immediately, seldom, rarely, often etc.
Once you grab the basic vocabulary depending on your level, you are all set to learn various sentence structures.
Next blogpost would be on various sentence structures and how to get mastery over them.
But before I write the next blogpost, promise me that you would refer to a grammar book and try to learn the vocabulary of various parts of speech as per your language level. You can refer to a dictionary to find out the answers or post your questions; I would try to help you in every way possible!
